MOT check description
MOT Centre when doing an MOT test checks a range of car parts, from the braking and fuel system to the seatbelts, wipers, mirrors, lights and the exhaust.
It doesn't look at the condition of the engine, gearbox or clutch.
If you vehicles emissions are high at time of test the mot station will fail your car, giving you 10 working days to get it fixed and return it for a retest at mot centre.
